The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA)is Ireland’s leading national institution for the collection and presentation of modern and contemporary art. Visit IMMA for exciting exhibitions, a great café and bookshop and stunning 17th-century building and grounds. Exhibitions in 2009 include the internationally renowned artists Lynda Benglis and Phillipe Parreno and Picturing New York an exhibition of some 150 photographs from the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Exbititions in 2010 include such leading figures as Francis Alys, Anne Tallentire and Morton Feldmann. Free guided tours of exhibitions are available year round.
The Museum is housed in the magnificant 17th Century Royal Hospital building, free heritage tours of the historic North Range are available during the summer months.

By bus: Buses to Heuston Station (5 minutes walk to Military Road): 26 (from Wellington Quay), 51 and 79 (from Aston Quay), 90 DART feeder bus (from Connolly Station and Tara Street Stations to Heuston).
Buses to James Street (5 minutes walk via steps to Bow Lane onto Military Road): 123 (from O’Connell Street/Dame Street), 51B, 78A (from Aston Quay).
By car: 10 minute drive from city centre
On foot: Approximately 30-40 minutes from city centre.
By train: 5 minute walk from Heuston Station.
By LUAS: Line A to Heuston Station
